It was an awesome day for the Lyons Lions Cross Country team as they placed 2nd in the State Track Meet! Sam placed 14th and I am SO proud of him. The rest of the Lyons team was there to cheer them on as well as the coaches, staff and parents. It was an exciting race but waiting for them to "come in" was hard on my heart. The course was difficult because of snow we'd had this week. There was lots of mud. Coach had them put longer cleats on as well as spraying their shoes with some non-stick "stuff" to help keep the mud down. Sam came in 3rd on his team.
